Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Cymothoe collects, and what rights you have over it. The Site – every Learning sheet, the Glossary, Quizzes, the Daily Challenge, and News – has no accounts, no sign-up, and no comments. There is nothing to log in to and nothing to submit.
On this page
1. Data we collect
None, beyond ordinary web server logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) generated automatically by Vercel for every visit to any website. We don't collect payment information – the Site has no paid features – and we don't run third-party advertising or analytics trackers. News items are written and published by Cymothoe directly; there is no public submission form.
2. Where the Site is hosted
Cymothoe is hosted on Vercel. News items and directory entries are static content files served directly with the Site, not stored in a separate database. Fonts and scripts are served from the Site itself, so loading a page doesn't contact any third-party service (links to news sources and directory entries only take you to those sites when you click them).
3. Cookies
The Site does not set any cookies and does not track you. It uses your browser's local storage for two conveniences only, which never leave your device: which News sections you've collapsed, and your answer to today's Daily Challenge. Clearing your browser's site data removes both. See the Cookie Policy for the full list.
4. Your rights
Since we don't collect any personal data from visitors, there is nothing tied to you to access, correct, or delete. If you believe that's inaccurate, contact us (see Contact).
5. Security
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the Site and the content on it.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
